A group of Christian Living Books’ authors, their family and friends came to our nation’s capital to celebrate being selected to the Library of Congress. They came from all over the country and as far away as the beautiful islands of the Bahamas. President Obama, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, the Bahamian Consul General, Paulette Zonicle (who came to our banquet to celebrate Bahamian author, Tiffany Edgecombe), and respective members of the U.S. House of Representatives all wrote letters to us to commemorate and celebrate these distinguished authors.
We had a wonderful time fellowshipping, laughing with Joe Recca (the funniest man in clean comedy), being blessed by gifted singers, taking a world class tour of the sites of my hometown, Washington, DC. Visiting the Library really solidified just what an honor the selection is. The largest, most prestigious library in the world has honored us… ordinary people who love God and are committed to resourcing the Kingdom in our respective areas of influence.
The Library is so awesome and beautiful that the entire experience was just humbling. As long as the earth remains, those works will be there, enshrined, as a part of our nation’s cultural landscape. Coming together birthed a camaraderie among the authors and strengthened the bonds we have developed over the years. We are so grateful for this amazing group of wonderful authors. We love them like family and are so very proud of them. To God be the glory for the things He has done.
