DEIDRE ANN TYLER, PHD

Dr. Deidre Ann Tyler is a sociologist and motivational speaker. She is a native of Vicksburg, Mississippi–specifically the Marcus Bottom Community. She received her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Mississippi College; her Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Mississippi; and her doctorate from Mississippi State University in 1993. She received another Masters degree in Instructional Technology from Utah State University.

Dr. Tyler teaches sociology at Salt Lake City Community College and is also a certified personal fitness trainer. Dr. Tyler practiced what she preaches–that is total abstinence before marriage. Dr. Tyler lives in Salt Lake City, Utah and is available to speak to groups about boundary setting.
