MAXINE HENRY

Evangelist Maxine Henry, born on September 17, 1977, in Los Angeles, CA, is the youngest of three children to Harold and Rovetta Johnson. For nearly a decade, she has been happily married to her husband and best friend, Elder Roger Henry, Jr. Together, they have six children and eight “Mini Mees.” Professionally, Evangelist Henry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Psychology and works as a Pension Plan Administrator for a local CPA firm, applying her expertise in the field of accounting.

At Greater Harvest Christian Center Bakersfield, under the leadership of Bishop Vernon R. Kemp and Lady Vicki L. Kemp, Evangelist Henry serves in multiple capacities. She is a dedicated Sunday School teacher for both youth and women’s classes, sharing her knowledge and faith with diverse groups. Her commitment to the church’s financial well-being led her from volunteering on the financial team to being promoted to the position of church financial controller after three years of faithful service. In 2016, recognizing her spiritual gifts and dedication, she received her evangelist license under the same leadership.

Despite her busy schedule, Evangelist Henry cherishes time spent with her family. She also has a passion for traveling and indulging in fine dining experiences. Reading serves as her favorite pastime, offering moments of relaxation and learning, while writing provides a personal getaway, allowing her to express her thoughts and experiences. Through all aspects of her life, Evangelist Henry finds guidance and inspiration in her favorite scripture, Jude 24: “Now unto Him who is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.”
