Lady Rachel Denise Blake is the First Lady of the Prayer Memorial Church of God in Christ in Denver, Colorado, and District Missionary of the Jireh District. She was born in Bakersfield, CA to the late Norris Howard, District Superintendent and the oldest adjutant of the Church of God in Christ when he passed away. Her mother was the late District Missionary Lucille Howard. Lady Blake is the seventh of eight children: four boys and four girls.

In November 1989, she and her husband were blessed to be married. After two years of their marriage, God answered their prayers by relocating them from Bakersfield, California to Denver, Colorado. He was also graceful enough to bless them with three beautiful daughters. Lady Blake was gifted with such a love for fashion that she earned a Specialized Associates degree in Fashion Merchandise from the Scranton School of Fashion Merchandising and Travel. She also earned a second Associates in Travel. She received her Aspiring Missionary License in September of 1992 under the leadership of State Supervisor Perry Dean of the Northwest jurisdiction in California.

Lady Blake also received her Evangelist Missionary License in 1997 under the leadership of Mother L. O. Wells in Denver, Colorado. Her husband became a pastor in 2008. In 2012, she became a District Missionary of the Jireh jurisdiction. Shortly following, her husband became the District Superintendent. First Lady Blake is an adult Sunday schoolteacher for the Prayer Memorial Church of God in Christ and the Women’s Department Coordinator. An intercessor, Lady Blake instituted the once-a-month prayer shut-in. She has a great love for young people, so she createdthe Youth Stepping Team along with a weekly meeting so that young people could talk about whatever was on their minds. Lady Blake is also a strong advocate for the elderly.

Her ultimate goal is for everyone in this world to have their own mansion in heaven where hers will be pink with gold trimming. Her favorite Scripture verse is Matthew 28:20: “And lo I am with you always even until the end of the world,” and Hebrews 18:5 saying “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
