PRUE KOCKLER

Prue Kockler was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma in the middle of World War II. While her dad was in bootcamp, with a baby in arms and the help of her extended family, her mother soldiered on. When her dad returned from the war on Christmas Day 1945, the family rented a farm with no electricity and no running water. Prue’s faith and roots grew deep during these farm years. Prue met Barry, the love of her life, earlier than she had planned. After Barry finished at Rice University, his jobs transferred them many times across the country and back again. With each move, God prepared the way. Forty-seven years ago, they ended up in Double Oak, Texas in the home where they live today. In this home, Prue and Barry raised four children. They have welcomed, loved, cared for, and enjoyed twelve grandchildren. Today, she says she is a blessed Mema indeed! She and Barry will soon celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary.

“Kimberly Stewart always answered her phone when I called her number. She was always ready to help me in anyway she could. I am in the late stage of life writing stories for my grandchildren so they know how God has always been there for me in difficult times.  I had worked a year on The Life Journey of Mema but had no idea how to get it into a book. A friend of mine told me that her friend had use Christian Living Books for her book. Again, God had put the right person in front of me to show me the way. As soon as I talked to Kimberly, all worries were gone. I am very happy with everything about my book. They did a beautiful job. I am happy to recommend Christian Living Books to anyone wanting to publish a book.”
