ENOCH ADEJARE ADEBOYE, PHD

Enoch Adejare Adeboye is the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. The church, which has over four million members in about forty thousand parishes all over the world, has experienced unprecedented growth since he became the spiritual and administrative head. The monthly open-air prayer meetings have an average attendance of over one million people at the Redemption Camp on the outskirts of Lagos, Nigeria.

In recognition of his contribution as a global icon and preacher of God’s Word, in 2008, Newsweek magazine selected him as one of the world’s 50 most influential people.

• Television programs are broadcast on a digital-cable channel called Open Heavens TV, Liveway TV and Satellite radio

A mathematician, Pastor Adeboye holds a Ph.D. in Hydrodynamics and has lectured at the University of Lagos, Nigeria for many years. Renowned not only for the uncommon anointing of God on his life as a Pastor and international speaker, he is also a prolific writer. He is married to Pastor Foluke Adeboye and they are blessed with four children.
